Hotpot Maxi Microwave Kiln

Start your glass crafting journey with the Hotpot Maxi Microwave Kiln! This tool lets you melt glass in a standard microwave oven, ideal for jewelry and other creative projects. It offers an accessible way to fuse glass without needing a costly kiln.

Please note that the Hotpot works in most microwaves, but not all. Generally, basic, knob-controlled models perform best. We recommend using a separate microwave from the one you cook food in for better results. Due to varying brands, we can't provide a full compatibility list.

The Hotpot's inner diameter measures 11cm, with an outer diameter of 17cm. It's crafted from Bio Soluble fibre, which is ultra-light and non-hazardous. The lid features a grey/black coating that enables extremely high temperatures for glass fusion. Over time, small cracks may form inside, which is normal and doesn’t affect performance.

For silver art clay, the Hotpot can also help bake your clay with or without glass. Since microwaves don't have a temperature setting, it's important to find the right wattage and timing for your model. Experiment with different settings for the best results!
