Exclusively, Tabitha’s Glass Emporium proudly stands as the creator and producer of XL Murrine, exceeding 10mm / 1/2 inch in diameter. Moreover these larger murrine open up new dimensions of creative potential, inviting you to explore bolder designs and concepts
These murrine pieces stand out, with diameters ranging from 10mm to 18mm. As soon as we have pulled them from the Vitrigraph kiln, they go straight into another kiln for the crucial annealing process.
Add a touch of fire to a floral project by adding these as a hot flower center and surround it with one of our leaves to be it’s elegant petals.
Furthermore our XL murrine are exceptionally thick, necessitating precision cutting with a fine diamond bladed tile saw. To enhance their final appearance, we recommend lightly dusting them with clear powder before firing.
What sets us apart is our unique process, pioneered by Tabitha Burrill at Tabitha’s Glass Emporium. This process allows us to create intricate murrine patterns reminiscent of millefiori, all at an incredibly affordable price point. Every piece is crafted using 100% Bullseye Glass 90COE for exceptional quality.
Keep in mind that our murrine slices are drawn from various parts of the pull, resulting in unique pieces. Some may feature less pattern, which is how we keep our prices competitive and uphold our commitment to minimizing waste and environmental impact at TGE. Join us in making a positive contribution to our planet while creating something extraordinary from every aspect of the pull.
